DARD - Children and Young People's Action Plan 2010 - 2012

DARD has developed a 2-year draft Action Plan which sets out their proposed work to encourage greater participation and engagement with children and young people. DARD would welcome your comments on our draft Plan.
DARD shares responsibilities to deliver on our obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and on the Executives overarching 10-Year Strategy for Children and Young People. The importance of participation, and our engagement with children and young people, is also highlighted through their inclusion in Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, within the age category.
DARD would be grateful if you could give this draft Plan your consideration. Your comments are welcome by telephone, email or by post to the address provided. Alternatively, they would be happy to meet with you individually to discuss your views on our draft Plan. Closing date for comments is Friday 22 January 2010.
